In short

1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file this site stores in your browser so it can recognise you from one page to the next and on your next visit. We also use equivalent technologies (local storage, pixels), and the rules below apply to them identically.
2. The rule we follow
Under art. 4 of Romanian Law 506/2004 and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), cookies that are strictly necessary for the shop to work are set without consent. Everything else starts only after you accept it, on the basis of your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Refusing is as easy as accepting: “Accept” and “Refuse” are two equal buttons, on the same screen, one click each. No answer does not mean agreement, and buying does not depend on optional cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time, free of charge.
3. The four categories used on carefresh.ro
Strictly necessary
They remember your session, your cart, your checkout step, payment fraud protection and your cookie choice. They cannot be switched off in the banner; if you block them in your browser, the cart empties and the order cannot be completed.
Preferences
They keep small settings: the language you selected (Romanian or English), or a banner you closed. If you refuse them, the site still works, but you will make those choices again on every visit.
Statistics and analytics
They measure, in aggregate, how many visitors we have, which pages are read and where checkout stalls. If you refuse them, you shop exactly the same way; we simply see less about what works.
Marketing
They allow remarketing (showing you CARE FRESH products on other sites) and measuring how an ad performed. If you refuse them, you will still see ads online, they just will not relate to what you looked at here. Your order, payment and delivery are not affected.
4. Examples, by category
We describe cookies by role, not by technical name, because names change with every update. The live list is shown in the “Cookie settings” panel.

5. How long they last
Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. The persistent ones we use last a maximum of 12 months. Your consent is stored for at most 12 months, then the banner asks again.
6. How to change your choice
Every page has a “Cookie settings” button in the footer. There you can see what is active, tick or untick each optional category and save; the change takes effect immediately. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
7. How to delete cookies in your browser
In any modern browser the shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Cmd+Shift+Delete on Mac). From the menu:
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Delete browsing data.
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage website data.
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and site data.
- Edge: Settings, then Privacy, search and services, then Delete browsing data.
You can also block third-party or all cookies from the start. If you block everything, the cart and checkout stop working.
8. External resources in our pages
We embed no third-party chat widgets, maps, videos or social media buttons. The site's technical resources (fonts, stylesheets, scripts) may be delivered through our platform provider's distribution network, which receives your IP address in order to send you the file, but no statistics or marketing cookies are set through them. The site's typefaces are hosted on our own domain and are not loaded from Google Fonts or any other font service, so simply opening a page does not send your IP address to a third party.
9. Third-party cookies
They appear only if you accept the “statistics” or “marketing” category. In that case the provider may set its own cookies under its own policy, sometimes transferring data outside the European Economic Area under standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. We do not publish tool names, so you never read an outdated list: the live list is in the “Cookie settings” panel. The e-commerce platform the shop runs on sets strictly necessary cookies for session, cart and payment.
10. Personal data, your rights, contact
Where a cookie leads to personal data, the processing is described in our Privacy policy: purposes, retention, and your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability). Write to office@carefresh.ro and we reply within one month, the deadline the GDPR sets. You may complain to the Romanian data protection authority, dataprotection.ro, and for consumer protection matters to ANPC, anpc.ro.
